PSA

In this particular project, we had to learn how to use the gradient mask tool. We each chose an organization that we wanted to create a public service announcement for. I chose the ASPCA and found 5 images on the internet, 4 of animals, and one for the background. I placed the images on the background in a way that looks appealing to the eye. I added the writing and added a drop shadow and embossed it slightly. I also added a slogan underneath the ASPCA logo.

Fantasy Flyer

This project required us to use a pen tool to create a mask to separate the image of the fantasy flyer from its background. Then, what I did was went on the internet and found an image of a toddler and saved it to my computer. I used the quick selection tool in photoshop to cut the toddler out from the background of the picture as well as sizing the picture to make sure it would be proportional with the fantasy flyer. We also had to make sure that we put all the elements of design to use to make it look like a cohesive pice of work.

Commodities

For this project we had to choose nine items that we thought were commodities in today's culture. We had to learn the quick mask tool in order to cut out each item to put on the final background. Some images had white backgrounds, which were simpler to remove, but the images hat had more color, or even objects in the back were more of a challenge to take out with clean edges.

LA Zoo Post Card

In my Graphic design class, we were instructed to design a postcard advertising for the LA Zoo. We had to choose 5 pictures, changed the resolution, cropped them to the most suitable size, and then added a border. We made sure to keep ideas such as contrast, proximity, arrangement, and repetition in mind when deciding how our final postcard would look.

Camera Exhibit

This is a project I did  in my graphic design class where we had to design a poster for an exhibit. I decided that My exhibit would center around cameras and how they have changed through the ages. We organized the photos in Bridge. We made thumbnails and rough drafts to decide which layout we would use for our final design. We moved the pictures over to Photoshop to put them in our desired layout. I organized my photos and put a shadow behind them because I thought that added a clean and creative feel to the overall look of the poster.
